onion cheese soup

1 cup chopped onion
2 TBS butter
2 TBS flour
6 cups hot milk
Salt and pepper
2 cups shredded cheese
Saute the onion in melted butter until golden. Stir in the flour. Add milk slowly and stir until mixture thickens. Add cheese and continue to stir until melted. Season with salt and pepper. Sprinkle with paprika.
