english muffin rolls

A quick and delicious hot roll
Hilva
1 cup scalded milk
½ cup shortening or 1 square margarine
¾ tsp salt
4 TBS sugar
1 ½ yeast dry
¼ cup warm water
2 eggs, beaten
3 cups flour

Sift dry ingredients in bowl. Pour hot milk over shortening, then cool. Add beaten eggs and yeast. Add to dry ingredients. Beat well. Let rise 1 hour. Stir down, let rise again – then spoon in muffin tins. Let raise then bake in oven 375 degrees for 12 minutes.
