overnite cookies

2 cups brown sugar
1 cup shortening
1 tsp soda
4 eggs
1 tsp cream of tartar
1 ½ cup nut meats
1 ½ tsp vanilla
1 cup coconut
Flour
Cream sugar and shortening. Add well beaten eggs, vanilla. Add a little flour with cream of tartar and soda sifted in. Add nuts, then enough flour to make mixture stiff enough to roll. Place in icebox overnite. Slice 1/3” thick and bake in hot oven.
